IS Bus Systems Analyst
JOB SUMMARY Medline Industries is looking to hire a Business Analyst to join the IS Sales Compensation team.
This person will be responsible for collaborating with key business stakeholders as part of a program to modernize Sales Compensation Management.
This program includes many facets from data management and integration to Sales Compensation territory/quota management and various incentive calculations.
This role will be responsible for defining, implementing, testing, and supporting new features and functionality across multiple applications to support the Sales Compensation team's business needs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES o Works closely with the team and business stakeholders to understand business requirements and drive the design and delivery of quality technical solutions.
o Review and understand all business functional/non-functional requirements and write user stories.
o Responsible for the identification of and resolution of gaps in the business processes and proposed changes o Perform a variety of roles ranging from process design and requirements gathering to writing and executing test cases.
o Assists in effort estimation and making decisions regarding resource allocations.
o Deliver software requirements to developers and serve as the developer's point of contact for clarification and follow-up throughout the development process.
o Create clear and concise test cases to fully cover all requirements, including testing scenarios from the perspective of the end user.
o Modify and maintain test cases due to changes in the requirements.
o Extensively involved in executing, analyzing, and verifying test results and working with developers to resolve issues.
o Write SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to validate data at every integration point and confirm against requirements.
o Write SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to validate backend table calculation results and data integrity.
o Investigate issues and identify opportunities for improvement in system usability/user interface experiences.
o Assist in confirming specific UAT environments are set up with the data provided and that the values match from source to target.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to update source system data to support the business requirements.
o Present findings to IS Team leads as well as provide summary and detail level reports to support data analysis.
o Perform training and create job aids for the Sales Compensation business team.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS o A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Or equivalent work experience with desired systems and technologies.
o Overall 5
years of experience in capturing detailed requirements, creating process flows, and executing test cases.
o Independent worker, able to carry out tasks with little or no supervision.
o Experience in functional testing and non-functional testing.
o Excel in asking probing questions and researching, analyzing, and rectifying problems.
o Demonstrated experience in learning and understanding business domains.
o Superior verbal, and written communication skills, and data analysis skills.
o Excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL for performing data analysis.
o Proficient in reading and/or writing medium SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
o Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio) software.
o Knowledge of Excel (i.
e.
pivot tables, vlookup, managing data).
o Strong functional and business knowledge in an ERP environment.
Preferred
Qualifications:
o Knowledge of Zephyr Squad for writing test cases.
o Experience with various integration protocols such as SQL, XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, and API.
o Experience in Sales Compensation systems including commission and sales credit calculation, Territory, and Account Management.
o Solid understanding of scrum and agile principles.
o Experience with DevOps tools (ie.
Jira, Zephyr, Splunk, SonarQube, etc).
o Experience with offshore teams.
