IS Developer Analyst
JOB SUMMARYMedline Industries is looking to hire a System Analyst to join the IS Sales Compensation team.
This person will be responsible for collaborating with key business stakeholders as part of a program to modernize Sales Compensation Management.
This program includes many facets from data management, performing technical analysis for designing solutions, and evaluating options and integrations to Sales Compensation applications.
This role will be responsible for defining, implementing, testing, and supporting new features and functionality, across multiple applications to support the Sales Compensation team's business needs.
o Works closely with the team and business stakeholders to define data requirements, as well as design, and create logical and physical data models.
o Assist in the design and development of data integration best practices, policies, procedures, and metadata to ensure accuracy, quality, integrity, and optimization of this information.
o Responsible for detailed design, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting applications.
o Developing, implementing, and optimizing complex stored procedures, functions, and views using T-SQL on Microsoft SQL Database.
o Understand and have experience in query and data optimization techniques such as in-memory cache, data partitioning, snapshots, and working with time series data.
o Responsible for the identification of and resolution of gaps in the business processes and proposed changes.
o Participates in analyzing production issues, performing root cause analysis of an issue, and helping determine the necessary course of action for resolution.
o Coordinate with team leads, solution architect, and ETL developers to implement viable solutions to support the business requirements including the processing of retro, current, and future data.
o Responsible for creating and updating ER diagrams, process flows, architectural diagrams, configuration docs, functional specs, and other database assets as required.
o Follow established database procedures for version control and migrations, including developing scripts and procedures to facilitate data migrations.
o Work with business analysts and subject matter experts to implement and expose the data for reports and analytics.
o Write complex SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to validate data at every integration point and confirm against requirements.
o Write complex SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to validate backend table calculation results and data integrity.
o Investigate issues and identify opportunities for SQL query performance improvement.
o Assist in setting up UAT environments and validate the data provided matches from source to target.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to update source system data to support the business requirements.
o Present findings to IS Team leads as well as provide summary and detail level reports to support data analysis.
