Job Description:
CPC is a full-service pathology laboratory, providing services to dermatology offices, surgery centers, hospitals, other laboratories, and more.
The office assistant is responsible for data entry, transcription, answering phones, and organization of materials.
This includes entering cases into our computer system, typing pathologists' diagnostic codes, and finalizing their reports.
The glass slides are sorted and filed by office staff as well.

-Filing slides/Quality check filing -Transcription -Data entry/Accessioning -Answering phones -Issuing reports -Sorting documents -Filling out tickets (supply requests, courier pickups) -Filling out stain requests QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:
Education:
High School Diploma or higher
Experience:
-Accurately type at 65 words/minute -Good verbal and written communication skills -Ability to input data with accuracy and precision -Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask -Familiar with medical terminology -Able to work well with others KEY COMPETENCIES:
Computer skills, Phone skills, Accurate typist, Attention to detail, Understanding of HIPAA Job Type:
