Position
Summary:
The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for entering orders into the computer system for shipment and receiving payments from customers.
This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
The position requires a high level of patience and the ability to work with different personalities.
Essential Functions:
Receive customer payments by telephone or in person from customers.
Verify customer information by checking accuracy of order information.
Enter orders into the computer system for shipment and receive payments from customers.
Maintain confidentiality of company information by abiding by all security procedures and guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills &
Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) with the ability to learn new software programs as needed.
Advanced Excel skills are a must.
Proficient in typing and using a telephone to communicate with customers or fellow employees via telephone.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with good attention to detail while maintaining a calm demeanor under stressful conditions.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining a strong work ethic.
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background check, drug test, and physical exam.
