Summary:
The Sr.
Manager of Program Data Conversion ATLAS has the overall responsibility to lead a team that oversees the receivable portfolio migration to new system solutions.
The data migration efforts to include development, execution and management of required data cleansing activities and execution on conversion programs to support each program test cycle, dress rehearsal and final cutover load.
This role will lead efforts to define the process to execute data transaction and maintain the master record in the target system.
This individual will be responsible to ensure their team builds and unit tests all conversion programs to meet conversion specifications to include building extract, transform and load to target capabilities.
In addition, this role will lead business validation - at post extraction, transformation, and load stages - of loaded data to confirm quality and 'business ready' expectations will be met.
Role
Responsibilities:
Data Conversion Management - 40% of Time Spent Responsible for leading a team of data conversion and migration program Leads to develop, execute, and manage required data cleansing activities and conversion programs to support each implementation test cycle, dress rehearsal and final cutover load.
Develop, implement, and maintain data conversion and migration program milestones based on implementation iterations and specifications.
Strategic milestone efforts will include data extract planning, stakeholder communication of conversion process, defining data requirements and other activities to prepare for data conversion.
Collaborate with Program Directors to design and lead appropriate data conversion and migration unit testing in alignment with program implementation strategy roadmaps to include the extraction, transformation and loading data to target system capabilities.
Lead efforts to design, document, execute and data cleansing and migration procedures comprehensive controls to support program requirements and business needs.
Identifies and communicates internal and external risks related to data conversion, migration and collaborates with IT and business stakeholders to implement appropriate mitigation plans.
Lead the development and business validation of all data conversion and migration efforts - to be completed at post extraction, transformation and loading stages - to confirm quality, stakeholder expectations and integrity master record in the target system.
Effectively communicate conversion status updates and schedule changes to core Program Team, internal and external stakeholders, and Executive Leadership.
Leadership and Management - 30% of Time Spent Understand, advocate, and communicate company and core team objectives, vision and strategy to staff to ensure contribution towards achieving strategi goals Ensure core team delivers strong results by driving alignment, problem solving and collaborative relationships across program functional groups, external vendor and key business stakeholders Frequently interface with IT and business line leadership to understand near and long term needs and identify opportunities for the program to drive value and efficiency.
Communicate technology challenges and opportunities to key business stakeholders to ensure buy-in and prioritization.
Ensure consistent technical solutions and agile methodology adoption throughout core team Define and implement cross-functional direction and core team operational prioritization.
Establish, monitor, and lead individual team member objectives - to ensure capacity and application performance management - and competencies in alignment with Talent Management practices Recruiting (interviewing and hiring), appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees (as required), training, succession planning, coaching, addressing complaints and resolving problems, work planning, assignment and directionVendor Management - 20% of Time Spent Manage operational relationships and expectations with key vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the program and organization in a socially and compliant manner Monitor and measure vendor performance against established SLA's, ensuring quality delivered by vendor meets contractual obligations Ensure multi-sourced vendor solutions are well defined and documented, and support model meets Business expectations Review vendor support summaries on a timely basis and work to resolve discrepancies quickly.
Budgeting, Finance and Administration:
- 10% of Time Spent Define and develop initial budget and project definitions for strategic initiatives and prioritize the approved initiatives Assist/ lead Forecast budgetary requirements for annual planning rounds Seek opportunities for improvements and cost reductions.
Drive down costs proactively through tight management of support activities and initiating application enhancements to fix defects showing expected ROI.
Years of Relevant
Experience:
10 years of experience, preferably within the Auto Finance Industry, in successfully managing complex projects and programs which include external suppliers through the full project lifecycle, from conception through rollout and ongoing maintenance 7 years of progressively responsible relevant experience in data management, including creating partnerships, implementing data governance, and understanding the underlying technologies needed to enable data innovation across a midsized or large organization 5 years experience in managing data conversion activities throughout the entire software development lifecycle with particular experience in converting financial services portfolios from legacy to new platforms.
Education:
Required Bachelor's degree in Business Finance, Information Technology/Computer Science or related disciplineDesired:
Advanced Degree a plus ITIL Certification a plusSkills:

Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills; experience in influence others and driving a change Experience in multiple competency areas to include extensive conversion event configuration knowledge, data translation, data delivery model best practices, data storage, data quality management, and conversion implementation processes.
Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Postgres Experience directing cross-functional product development teams on end-to-end delivery of complex projects Experience in establishing and improving enterprise data governance processes and structures, including privacy, Master Data Management, access and decision rights management, and data integrity standardsDesired:
Master's degree, MBA, MIS or Computer Science Degree desired Familiarity with offerings in the data & data science space by the major cloud vendors AWS, GCP, and AzureWork Flexibility:
Must be willing to travel up to 15% Must be willing to work off-hours to provide managerial oversight to program development activities that must take place on nights and weekends.
