The role is open due to a promotion so there is career progression with the position. They are targeting 5-8 years of experience. Comp can go up to $100K (may stretch) plus a 10% bonus. They are looking for local candidates, no relo. The company has been around for over 90 years and they have been profitable in every one of those years, they are not going anywhere.

SUMMARY
This position provides business and financial analytical support for customer proposals, pricing structure, promotional programs and related issues. The customers served include the Health Systems Key Account organization primarily, in support and collaboration with the Marketing and Sales management of the U.S. Business Units.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides program/proposal financial analysis (ROI, break-even) to include fees, rebates and other incentives and benefits, including pricing analysis
National Account Agreements
Promotional Programs
IDN/Local Proposals
Federal Government standardization bids
PCA (price exception) requests
Communicates proactively to Financial Managers for U.S. Business Units regarding initiatives which may impact overall profitability (such as price increases, major contract proposals)
Understands and contributes to development of proposals which fit within required parameters (such as most favored nations criteria)
Provides reporting and analysis for revision of list pricing and discount structures
Runs queries and analyzes resulting reports
Maintains documentation of all list pricing structures, discount structures and pricing/promotional programs
Maintains Pricing Eligibility Grid (program availability by Class-of-Trade)
Responsible for collaborating and communicating with Pricing Operations, Contracting, Marketing to facilitate timely and effective implementation.
Provides research, reporting and analysis to support development and refinement of pricing/positioning strategy for each product line/category, with particular focus on key account pricing
Collaborates with Pricing and sales/marketing management to understand market trends, product positioning
Conduct quantitative and qualitative research as directed
Utilize industry data sources to identify and position key accounts
Stays abreast of industry trends (such as IDN emergence) which factor into pricing strategies
Develops and maintains centralized repository of competitive pricing information and utilize competitive information to identify trends/patterns and recommend pricing tactics
Conducts contract compliance reviews including Federal Government
Runs periodic reports for identified compliance areas
Contacts sales teams to obtain feedback on non-compliant situations
Prepares and maintains authorized exceptions report for Federal Government
Maintains other documentation as directed
Performs follow up reporting and analysis to measure Program Agreement success and utilization levels
Performs other ad hoc queries to support Pricing & Contracts Team and Pricing Operations to enhance data systems as structures and business practices/process support
Works with Process Team, Pricing/Contracts Team and Pricing Operations to enhance data systems and structures and business practices/process support
Identifies and champions needed improvements (technical and process) to support new programs, analysis, and other initiatives
Determines and resolves any reporting or data issues relating to pricing and contracts including contract sales reporting
Collaborates with Manager, Pricing and Contracts to develop and implement new contract documents to support new price programs
Supports Class-of-Trade and channel management decisions and policies
Conduct quantitative and qualitative research and assessment to support class-of-trade and channel management decisions
Maintains and updates class-of-trade definitions documentation
Reviews business practices for customer coding and researches recommends data sources and business practices to enforce Client's policies
Calculates and/or audits all incentive/fees payments, including NA/GPO/IDN customer conversion incentives
Conducts reports and analysis to determine payout amounts and customers
GPO/NA/IDN customer conversation incentives, compliance rebates
Works with Finance to establish appropriate accruals
Advises sales/marketing to payment status
Ownership of process; responsible for coordinating resources and all steps of process to ensure proper payment and documentation

QUALIFICATIONS
Number of Overall Years Necessary: 5-8 years
Five years sales reporting/analysis supporting sales & marketing function. Experience must include price structures analysis and/or proposal financial analysis (cost-benefits, ROI) for specific opportunities.
Includes minimum of two years at a mid to senior level, reflecting substantial level of independence and accountability for assigned projects.
Two or more years working for U.S. healthcare manufacturer, distributor or group purchasing organization with demonstrable broad-based industry knowledge highly preferred
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Marketing required, MBA a plus
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
