SUMMARY:
The Director, Value and Evidence Strategy will lead the development, management, design, implementation and delivery of Global and Regional evidence strategy & tactical plans for assigned company product(s) and/or disease area(s) during discovery, development, launch and/or life cycle management of a product to support achievement of strategic objectives.
He/she will oversee/participate in the design and execution of key projects to support current and pipeline products, and the endpoints necessary for a product or service to be commercially successful. Responsibilities include planning, design, implementation and completion of innovative evidence-based research initiatives that are consistent with program strategies, during pre-launch, launch and post-launch phases of a product's life-cycle to create clinically meaningful messages that resonate with patients, health care providers, regulatory bodies, payers and other decision-makers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead effective generation, implementation, and communication of health outcome strategy, tactical plans and deliverables globally and regionally, both to internal and external audiences for multiple products and disease areas. Sets strategic evidence-generation priorities and direction for clinical development pipeline ranging from natural history to on market studies
In conjunction with Clinical Affairs, provide supporting leadership and collaboration in coordinating, designing, and execution of Health Outcome studies and instruments and contribute to the development of economic models to demonstrate the economic and humanistic benefits of Hollister's products in a rigorous and timely manner
Partners with Global Marketing product teams to identify key evidence gaps and potential ways to solve them using either new or existing data. Provide expertise in finding, accessing, analyzing and leveraging data in the context of a specific strategy
Provides input to clinical and product development teams regarding opportunities to execute evidence generation strategies and communicating to key internal and external stakeholders
Develop presentations, manuscripts and advise on promotional pieces to communicate/disseminate health outcomes data which support the evidence generation strategy for each product.
Interfaces with patient advocacy groups to understand and identify patient/caregiver insights that might drive clinically meaningful associations with clinical trial and/or observational study endpoints
He/she will effectively lead self and others in the synthesis of relevant published scientific information and communicate findings, and prepare summaries, critical reviews in support with use by commercial teams
Develops and maintains peer and KOL relationships to understand and apply innovative HEOR methods into Hollister programs
Serves as a resource to commercial organization in terms of pricing, positioning and reimbursement of products based on economic evaluations
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE:
Ability to read and interpret large volumes of technical scientific data pertaining to therapeutic areas for which Hollister products and/or services are utilized and synthesize results for use by a team
Ability to interact with a personal computer and designated analytic and Microsoft Office suite of programs to include entry and manipulation of data and production of desired outputs
Ability to communicate complex material in oral presentations and discussions as well as written reports and publications in a straightforward manner
Ability to initiate and manage day-to-day tasks effectively, with a high degree of self-motivation
Ability to manage vendors conducting HEOR research an all associated budgets to that research.
Ability to direct the work of others in support of the overall projects and collaborate with senior managers in key stakeholder areas
Ability to builds strong relationships with peers and cross-functionally with partners outside of team to enable higher performance
Ability to travel 20% to meet with payers and/or participate in US and Global conferences as a potential presenter or an attendee
QUALIFICATIONS:
Academic/Credentials/Certifications:
PharmD or Masters or Doctorate degree in Health Economics, Health Services or Health Outcomes Research, Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Policy, or related field, with strong understanding of research design principles and observational study techniques
Length of Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a Health Economics/Outcomes Research capacity for the Life Sciences Industry
Experienced in the design and submission of RFP's for vendor selection, proposal evaluation and vendor management
Minimum 5 years' experience leading/coaching the work of other team members
Demonstrated knowledge and application of a broad range of outcomes research, economic, statistical, and epidemiological research methods.
Publication track record in peer-reviewed clinical, health outcomes research, and/or methodologic journals.
Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:
Extensive knowledge of health outcomes research methodologies, statistics, PROs, study design, data collection and analyses
Understanding of the key differences, benefits, and limitations of various real world data sources, and be able to recommend the optimal data sources for which to answer a specific research question.
Knowledge on Healthcare Payment/reimbursement programs for the U.S. and key global countries
Experience conducting analysis using claims and/or EMR data
Experience programming in statistical analysis systems, such as SAS, STATA, and R.is a plus
Expert understanding of claims databases

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
