Commercial Loan & Real Estate Specialist

Role Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Senior Manager of Commercial Credit, the Commercial Loan & Real Estate Specialist is responsible for the closing of commercial real estate loans and the funding process for construction loans as well as ongoing file maintenance. Duties include ensuring loan closings comply with established policies and procedures and collaborating with the Commercial Credit Team, Sales Operations, Dealer customers and Legal to ensure a high level of service. Completes ongoing analysis of the commercial real estate loan portfolio highlighting trends including the assessment of collateral values, market conditions, concentrations of risk, growth of portfolio and Ad-Hoc reporting.
Role Responsibilities:
Assist Commercial Credit and Sales Teams in day-to-day transactional support and negotiation of Commercial Real Estate Loans; provide collateral analysis as well as term/amortization options; administer the Appraisal and Phase I-III ESA process where applicable. (20%)
Lead driver and contact with Dealer customers and VCI/Dealer Legal to facilitate the closing of commercial real estate mortgage loans ensuring all loan documents are in compliance with approved terms and company policy. Responsible for the overall service level provided pre and post-closing ensuring all documentation is obtained and properly maintained in VCI files. (20%)
Manage the construction loan draw process for dealer customers, general contractors, legal and accounting. (20%)
Create internal Real Estate Portfolio reports that provides insight into the make-up of the VCI real estate portfolio including the analysis of the overall performance, market commentary and stress testing. Report will be presented to VCI leadership in periodic portfolio review meetings. (20%)
Ongoing tracking of property insurance and the payment of real estate taxes for mortgaged properties. (10%)
Ongoing miscellaneous assignments. (10%)
Experience:
5-7 years of experience
4-5 years extensive professional experience, including experience in Automotive Retail/Wholesale marketing, or experience in Commercial Credit Analysis for a Financial Services Company or Major Lending Institution or experience in Commercial Credit Administration and/or Financial Analysis in a Region and/or Corporate capacity
Extensive experience in Financial Analysis of closely held corporations, partnerships and sole proprietorships conducting business in automobile retailing
Required Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
