Sr. Manager, Global Downstream Marketing, Hollister Ostomy

The Senior Manager, Global Downstream Marketing for Hollister will be responsible for boldly designing from the ground up and directing, the commercial product marketing strategies for the Hollister Ostomy brand worldwide.


 


H/She will ideate, create and lead execution of global downstream product marketing activities (launches, campaigns, initiatives) to support the Hollister Ostomy brand.


 


H/She will collaborate globally with commercial excellence, clinical education, market access, clinical affairs and upstream marketing to ensure the market success of Hollister Ostomy brand worldwide €“ as well as with our local marketing partners to create, harmonize and lead global messaging and commercial strategies.


 


This position will interact across functions and across local Business units to drive brand growth through products, services, and commercial excellence while ensuring coordination and alignment of the global and local strategies.


 


H/She will be required to visit local markets regularly. Up to 60% domestic and international travel is required


 


RESPONSIBILITIES:


 


Marketing Strategy Development and Execution



  • Develop Marketing Strategies to drive Hollister Ostomy growth in-line with the Strategic Plan, and collaborate with local Business Units.

  • Lead the development and execution of product marketing strategies to achieve or exceed Hollister Ostomy brand goals and objectives. This includes launching new products and line extensions, managing product lifecycles, forecasting, establishing and defending price, etc.

  • Collaborate with Upstream Marketing Team to build strong Go2Market plans to ensure execution excellence from global to local business units.

  • Create a marketing portfolio of messaging and materials to meet with the local market needs. Work with local Business Units to develop global product and service strategies to drive overall category growth based on customer needs analyses, competitive evaluations, corporate strategies, local business plans, and financial evaluation.

  • Identify and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, professional associations, and advisory boards.

  • Work with global teams to develop commercial plans and launch plans in conjunction with Upstream Marketing, Clinical, Communication & Operations teams that meets or exceeds customer expectations.


 


Marketing Research / Competitive Information



  • Collects competitive and market intelligence from local markets, and identifies opportunities or risks from a global perspective.

  • Collaborate to devise market research to support products, analyze sales and market trends, and synthesize results into relevant plans.

  • Track competitive activities, proactively develop key marketing campaigns, and work closely with local marketing partners to understand evolving and changing market dynamics.


 


Business Strategy Formulation



  • Accountable for growing Hollister Ostomy sales and profitability in accordance with the Ostomy Strategic Plan.

  • Understand customer needs and develop programs and services that improve our competitive position and drive customer satisfaction and sales.

  • Surface potential business issues that may warrant global facilitation.


 


Leadership & Management



  • Manage, lead and develop multiple direct reports.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to allow each direct report to reach his/her potential.

  • Provide consistent, clear, and frequent communications to direct reports and stakeholders, to ensure awareness and alignment.

  • Be a change champion as the global and local organizations evolve to a Upstream & Downstream approach to Ostomy.

REQUIREMENTS:


 


Work Experience Requirements



  • Number of Overall Years Necessary: 12-15

  • 12+years of overall business experience, with 5-7 years in marketing in the healthcare arena (pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech).  Global & Local experience would be highly desired.


 


Education Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in a business, healthcare or technical discipline required.  MBA highly preferred.


 


Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:



  • Experience in developing innovative strategies for and driving the execution of highly competitive environment product sales growth.

  • Demonstrated quantitative analysis skills

  • Strong strategic marketing skills including experience in the development of marketing plans and branding/marketing campaigns

  • Demonstrated success in working within a global marketing function as well as working with the business unit's local marketing team; Strong cross-functional relationship management skills

  • Strong global and regional market understanding

  • Experience managing people

  • Strong relationship management skills; proven track record of producing results in a matrix or global environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in PowerPoint and Excel
